Pelita Akademi was founded on the 16th of February 1998, since then, we have been actively engage maritime industry by providing education & training to our clients. For the last 2 decades, we have trained over 50,000 trainees locally & internationally. We are accredited by Jabatan Laut Malaysia under the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watch-keeping for Seafarers (STCW) and Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran for Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM), under the Ministry of Human Resources. We are certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

Established on 16 February 1998 by a former ALAM graduate, Mr. Baharom Mohd Taha, a co-founder and director of the first registered private maritime education and training in Malaysia. 2 decades and counting, Pelita Akademi stands strong at a strategic location in Batang Kali, Selangor. The geographical advantage allowed our clients to have an easy accessibility from different states from East, West, North and South of peninsular Malaysia.
In 2003, we rapidly expand our operation with the opening of Sabah and Sarawak branches.
Pusat Bertauliah (L02724) In 2021, we received an accreditation from Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran for Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia.
We are recognized by Yayasan Pahang State Foundation for the Technical, Vocational Education, and Training (TVET) program.
